(More customer reviews)I'm not the kind of person who needs to be hit with water from 14 different angles to say I had an adequate shower, and I don't have a pathological need to feel every square inch of my skin deluged in water simultaneously (uh... take a bath?).I've never fallen in love with a shower head, and when I've had shower heads available that did the swirlies or the pulsies or the steam or what-not, I never used those features.
To me, most of the plain jane shower heads I've experienced in my life provided perfectly adequate showers.
However, a few years ago, I got interested in saving water, and since then I've bought and installed on my own homes several different low-flow shower heads, including the Oxygenics Skin Care 1.5 gpm showerhead, Oxygenics Body Spa 2.0 gpm handheld, the no-name hardware store 2.0 gpm showerheads, and this Niagara Earth Massage 1.25 gpm showerhead.
This Niagara 1.25 gpm showerhead is the best of the bunch, and better than most plain jane shower heads.When we swapped out the shower head in my last house (your average 2.5 gpm model) for this 1.25 gpm head, my kids actually thought I'd put in a HIGHER-flow shower head, because the spray felt more forceful.But looking at how much less water was puddling around my feet with the Niagara shower head, it was very clear to me that there was a LOT LESS water going down the drain.
In the two years we used it, it never leaked, it never broke, and it never clogged.Considering its low price, I have to say that it's a very high-value shower head.Next I would like to try the Bricor UltraMax in this new house we just moved into, but since it seems to be unavailable from the manufacturer, I'll be ordering another Niagara 1.25gpm now.What happened to my old one?I never move a low flow shower head with me... I always leave it where I install it, for the next person to benefit from!
